Ruger New Vaquero® Revolvers The Ruger New Vaquero family of revolvers has been redesigned to offer the original "Old West" single action look and feel with features demanded by competitive shooters. From the past, we've brought back the mid-size cylinder frame and slimmer "XR-3" style steel grip frame with checkered "hard rubber" grips for positive control, plus a beveled cylinder, a new cylinder base pin, and a crescent-shaped ejector rod head. We’ve engineered a recontoured hammer and new hammer spring for the smoothest, easiest cocking ever. New Vaquero revolvers feature a new reverse indexing cylinder pawl, which positively aligns the cylinders with the loading gate, making loading and unloading faster and easier. Of course, all Ruger New Vaquero revolvers still feature our patented transfer bar mechanism and loading gate interlock for an unprecedented level of security. Color Case Blued New Vaquero® Revolvers: Color Case Blued New Vaquero revolvers feature Sturm, Ruger's own "color case" finish on the steel cylinder frame and a blued steel grip frame, barrel and cylinder. Color Case Blued New Vaquero revolvers are available in .357 Magnum and .45 Colt and barrel lengths of 4 5/8" and 5 1/2" . We also offer a .45 Colt model with a 7 1/2" barrel. Stainless New Vaquero® Revolvers:** All Stainless New Vaquero revolvers feature highly polished gloss stainless steel finishes. Stainless New Vaquero revolvers are available in .357 Magnum and .45 Colt and barrel lengths of 4 5/8" and 5 1/2" . We also offer a .45 Colt model with a 7 1/2" barrel.
